Summary:
Provide technical writing services supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) test, evaluation, and experimentation for the Test and Evaluation Division (E40) within the Gun and Electric Weapons Department (E).
The Sr.
Engineer (T) PM shall oversee services in the areas of test engineering, test execution, test documentation, safety, facility planning, explosive safety, unexploded ordnance support, database management, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, ordnance certification support, and training.
All services provided under this Task Order shall support the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR).
Job Duties:
This position encompasses a range of technical writing tasks while providing engineering and technical services at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) test, evaluation, and experimentation for the Potomac River Test Range in support of the Test and Evaluation Division (E40) within the Gun and Electric Weapons Department (E).
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
Technical Writer ITwo (2) years of
Experience:
Experience revising or writing standardized material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment.
Technical Writer IIFour (4) years of experience in revising/writing material that is mostly standardized for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment.
Technical Writer IIISeven (7) years of experience in developing, writing, and editing material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and other equipment, receives assignment from supervisor, observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
Desired Skill Requirements:
Navy and/or Marine Corps related experience is preferred.
Quality Assurance experience in Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9000, or ANSI processes and certifications.
Experience with Department of the Navy Risk Management Program for the Safe Manufacture, Storage and Handling of Ammunition and Explosives.
Education/Equivalent:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Special Considerations or Comments:
Some travel may be required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
