Summary:
The Principal Systems Engineer will lead the teams that shall provide Land Based Test and Training site engineering support to the active family of shipboard rotating radars.
The Sys Eng will supervise the team leads and provide required reports (both written and in person) to the PM and government.
Must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance at time of award.
Job Duties:
This position is the principal systems engineer who is the expert leader of the team and responsible for the contract deliverables to include engineering planning, programming/budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
The Principal Systems Engineer (SE) shall have ten (10) years of recent Surface Combatant Weapons experience with major programs/platforms such as AEGIS, SSDS, FFG, LUSV, or USCG; with established expertise in engineering, strategic planning, design, development, installation, activation and integration of complex new Land Based test/training capabilities, and surface combatant modernizationExperience in combat systems, weapon systems, system interfaces, facility combat system configuration, system and site networks, distributed systems, fiber distribution systems, wiring diagrams/schematics and cable plant configuration management and control.
Experience as a liaison between the various Land Based Test and Training Sites, stakeholders, and Program Office personnel.
Experience that demonstrates leadership qualities in order to direct a team of systems engineers consistent with that of a Chief Engineer.
Experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft VISIO, as well as Microsoft Office.
Education/Equivalent:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION:
Individuals with twelve (12) years of surface combatant relatedexperience and/or ten (10) years of recent SSDS experience, can substitute for Bachelor'sdegree.
The related experience should be in combat systems, weapon systems, facility andsystem design, or network design and engineering.
Special Considerations or Comments:
DAWIA SPRDE Level III or PMP certification.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
