Peraton is seeking a Summer 2022 Systems Engineer Intern to join our team in King George, VA supporting the Combat System Simulation Development (CSSD) program which develops real-time, high fidelity modeling and simulation software systems to support Combat System development, Combat System certification, and Combat System training for the Navy.
The team is based out of King George, VA but this role can be supported in a hybrid model with 75% remote and 25% on site.
Systems analysis of CSSD software solutions is conducted in Navy Land Based Test Sites (LBTS) that look and feel like real Navy ship command and control centers.
As a result, CSSD team members also learn how pertinent Navy combat systems operate in order to perform systems analysis and support integration testing with real tactical components.
As an Intern, you will learn new skills, explore our enterprise, network with experts, connect with thought leaders and finish with a resume that opens doors.
With CSSD you will have the opportunity to understand how modeling and simulation solutions support Navy tactical system development, training, and deployment in order to meet the Navy missions.
You will learn the basics of systems level requirements analysis, requirements documentation and tracing, and model based systems engineering and how to engineer software that is accredited to certify Navy combat systems and train sailors to meet their missions.
You will gain insight into the system and software engineering life-cycle to better understand the general engineering process of implementing an operational system.
Responsibilities:
Perform systems engineering tasks based on designs provided by the team Develop MBSE system models based on requirements and designs provided by the team Perform requirements analysis and documentation of Navy combat systems in order to develop software solutions Work with software developers to communicate software requirements and ensure that developed software solutions meet the requirements Perform troubleshooting of software issues on various system configurations Follow Peraton systems engineering process per guidance of systems engineering team leaders Required Qualifications:
Must be a full-time college student entering your Junior or Senior year majoring in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Science, Technology, Math related field of study Demonstrated experience in gathering system requirements in order to develop a technical solution Demonstrated problem solving skills in a customer focused environment Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) over Summer 2022 Must be local to the King George, VA area as systems analysis and testing of solutions is required at the Navy Facility (25% on site hybrid).
US citizenship is required Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance
Qualifications:
A GPA of 3.
0 or higher Self-starter, self-motivated, adaptable, quick learning Attention to detail, good organizational skills Good oral/written communication Ability to work independently and in a team environment Demonstrated ability to learn how an existing system works in order to model, simulate, or stimulate the system through software solutions.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
