Network Technician/Engineer (Aegis)

Overview:
VTG has an exciting opportunity available in Dahlgren, VA and is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst Cybersecurity network engineer to support Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) initiatives to improve cybersecurity on US Navy platforms afloat, aloft, and undersea.
The candidate will provide technical expertise and assistance in the design and development of required networks to support cybersecurity test and evaluation of naval systems in a distributed test environment.
Position will be Hybrid (onsite 3 days in Dahlgren)
Responsibilities:
- Assist the technical lead in establishing network configuration, design, and architecture required to support cyber test objectives in a distributed test environment.
- Assist the technical lead in providing detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet the cyber test objectives.
- Assist Cybersecurity test director in the planning and execution of cybersecurity test events.
- Coordinate with IT Cybersecurity personnel and network managers from various test sites and laboratories, US Navy program offices, and acquisition communities.
- Support technical review and development of drawings, interfaces, and specifications of naval systems and networks.
- Provide network specifications and schematics of network architecture for cyber test events.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of network interconnection to include routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, and gateways.
- Assist with cybersecurity test plan development and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Skills Active DOD Secret Clearance with ability to receive award of Top Secret.

years relevant experience Significant organizational skills with an ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook Travel 10-15 percent Ability to work both independently, and within interdisciplinary project teams (IPT)Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree Prior Naval experience in a technical rating with a strong background in naval systems and shipboard networks AEGIS Have an aptitude to design and implement networking solutions for multi-site infrastructures Have the capability to configure switches, routers, firewalls, and related network equipment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
