The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for participating in the direct care of residents as well as supervising all non-professional personnel in the Nursing Department.
They administer, stock, and dispose of medications in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
The LPN ensures the CNAs are properly administering services and there is adequate CNA coverage on each shift.
Qualifications:
Must have graduated from an accredited nursing programMust have an active LPN license in the state of VirginiaExperience in long-term care preferredAbility to communicate effectively with a variety of individualsKnowledge of nursing practices and proceduresKnowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facilityAbility to make independent decisions%8873290% %% category %% Recommended Skills Certified Nurse Practitioner Communication Licensed Practical Nurse Long Term Care Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
