Provide information assurance support for NSWCDDStrategic and Weapons Control System
Department (K Department) facilities and labs. Providecertification and accreditation for laboratory/land-based systems and operational afloat systems. Provide information assurance support to support the development and tactical hardware suites of equipment within K Department programs and products. This support includes Information Assurance Vulnerability Management compliance (IAVMc), system patching, System Test and Evaluation
(ST&E), user management, log management, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation preparation and review. Observe, test, and monitor changes in information systems that might affect the security
posture. Assist in the preparation of the accreditation documentation for submission to the NSWCDD Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or other program specific Designated Approving Authority (DAA). Support the preparation of C&A data packages utilizing the appropriate DoD Accreditation standards, policies, and directives; and facilitate the accreditation decision from the appropriate approval authority to obtain interim and final IA approvals for operations. Provide input to improving technical processes. Provide validation services for C&A documentation and processes, to include IA Controls, in accordance with the Department of Navy standards for Certification and
Accreditation processes. This activity includes executing the Certification and Accreditation implementation plans, conducting validation activities, preparing the IT Security plan, and compiling the validation results in the reporting
documentation.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: High School/GED
Two (2) years ofexperience with demonstrated ability to support the preparation ofaccreditation documentation for Certification & Accreditation andsuccessfully secure IT systems.
DoD Directive 8570Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level 2 orhigher certification.
Preferred Skills and Education
Experience in weapon/combat system lab environment, especially Tomahawk, Submarine-Launched Ballistic Missile.
Experience preparing and reviewing C&A certification documentation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
