Configuration Management Analyst

Overview
SCCI is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst who will participate on a team providing varied Configuration Management (CM) support to the AEGIS program. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities
Perform CM related functions Specifically in the area of Configuration Status Accounting
Generate standard documents including: metrics, change installations reports, milestones and schedules
Perform research for AEGIS change alterations, performing status verification on change proposals, entering new change data and verifying existing data in the Advanced Configuration Control and Engineering Status System (ACCESS)
Responsible for maintaining the configuration and applicable change documents utilizing the ACCESS database
Perform Quality Assurance (QA) checks for data accuracy and assist with resolution of discrepancies
Uses computer-based systems and program data from authoritative sources to create and maintain program data
Participate in Configuration Management Meetings
Participate in technical meetings, such as the Enterprise Configuration Control Board Meetings, Local Configuration Control Board Meetings, PARM Reviews, CPG, and/or ILS/IPTs
Represent the CM team at program meetings ensuring that CM concerns are communicated or impacts to CM are brought back to the team for issue resolution
Capture meeting highlights/minutes, action items, and generate trip reports
Analyze data including, but not limit to, Ship Alterations, Engineering Changes, Field Changes to develop and maintain configurations in a parent-child relationship
Assist in the development and maintenance of CM processes, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on program requirements
Assist and/or develop reports on various data pertaining to statuses and activities within the program or project
Ensure electronic deliveries of related files and documentation occur
Qualifications
Essential Skills and
Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and have a Secret Security Clearance

years of related Configuration Management experience with DoD programs, specifically the AEGIS program
Comprehensive knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in configuration management support: Knowledge of the engineering disciplines of configuration management (configuration identification, configuration control, status accounting, audits, configuration management planning, and data management)
Ability to perform CM tasks throughout full life-cycle: concept, research, development, testing, and continual improvement processes
Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment and across organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers
Highly motivated, ability to multi-task, and ability to work a flexible work schedule in surge situations
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability and willingness to travel (CONUS)
Preferred Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in technical field or related discipline
Knowledge of formal change control processes: Class I changes, Class II changes, CCB experience/involvement
Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs
Working knowledge of AEGIS ships, AWS, ACS equipment
