Summary:
The lead structural architect is responsible for designing land based test and training sites for the Navy in support of V Department at NSWC Dahlgren.
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
The Senior Architect shall have ten (10) years of experience in architectural engineering in building envelope and related construction fields.
Five (5) years of experience in analyze technical implications of design concept, calculating weights, volumes and stress factors, building codes, space and site requirements and other technical documents and reports to determine effect of architectural designs.
Five (5) years of experience in coordinating structural, electrical, and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans.
Desired Skill Requirements:
Navy combat and weapon systems background/experience.
Able to work in a team environment.
Understanding of Navy protocols.
Education/Equivalent:
Bachelor degree in Architecture with at least 30 semester hours were in architectural design and six (6) semester hours in structural technology, properties of materials and methods of construction, and environmental control systems.
Special Considerations or Comments:
Current registration as a Registered Architect in any state, District of Columbia Puerto Rico or Guam.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
